Neville, Carragher Agree On Man United Transfer Plan As £64.5M Point Made

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville both believe that Liam Delap shouldn’t be signed by Manchester United.

Following his stellar performances for Ipswich Town this summer, the 22-year-old striker has been linked to a move to Old Trafford.

Delap will only cost £30 million because of a relegation release clause in his contract. He would have been worth £40 million if the Tractor Boys had not been demoted from the English Premier League, with Manchester City setting aside a “buy-back” clause at that amount.

Although many people consider Delap to be a good deal, Neville and Carragher don’t think United should sign him.

According to Manchester Evening News, Neville gave an explanation of why he would prefer to see Matheus Cunha as against Delap at Old Trafford when asked about United’s pursuit of a new forward.
