Napoli Monitoring Man United Flop

Napoli are reportedly pondering over a move for Manchester United forward, Rasmus Hojlund in the wake of Romelu Lukaku injury.

The Denmark international is being discussed behind the scenes by the Serie A champions as a possible striker solution.

Belgian striker, Lukaku may need surgery after suffering a thigh injury during preseason for Italian champions Napoli.

Although Lukaku’s injury has not been assigned a timescale, it is anticipated that he will be sidelined for several months, leaving Napoli short of an offensive option.

According to Caught Offside, United want to sell the striker for £40 million. A deal like that would enable the club to recover a sizable amount of their investment and raise money for more team rebuilds.

Although a permanent sale is the primary option, according to insiders, United might be open to considering a loan agreement if the terms are right and it helps the player move on.

It makes perfect sense why Napoli are interested in Hojlund. First and foremost, they want to find a temporary solution for Lukaku, and Hojlund has previous Serie A playing experience.

Prior to his high-profile transfer to Old Trafford, which hasn’t worked out at all for the striker, the attacker played for Atalanta in Italy.

Hojlund can restore his form and confidence by joining Napoli, where he will be coached by an experienced manager in Antonio Conte.
