According to the Mirror, the young Turkish midfielder played a significant role under Alonso before the former Bayer Leverkusen boss left the club following the Super Copa final defeat to Barcelona.
Guler did not trust Carlo Ancelotti as much as he did Alonso. Now that the former Liverpool midfielder has departed the Bernabeu, it’s been said that the 20-year-old star is waiting to see what his role will be under new manager Alvaro Arbeloa, who formerly managed the Spanish giants’ reserve squad.
