Argentine great, Lionel Messi is reportedly eyeing a Cristiano Ronaldo goal record at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Over the course of his incredible career, the soon to be 38-year-old has become used to rewriting the record books.
The right to be regarded as the best footballer of all time has been contested against Portuguese legend Ronaldo.
Ronaldo faces the risk of losing yet another chapter in history to his eternal adversary. The 40-year-old currently holds the record for most goals scored in Club World Cup competitions.

He has found the net seven times in his appearances for Real Madrid and Manchester United.
According to Goal, Messi has taken his haul to six and is already breathing down Ronaldo’s neck. His most recent goal came when he curled a beautiful free kick into the top corner during Inter Miami’s triumph over Porto.
Messi had previously scored five goals in as many Barcelona Club World Cup appearances.
With six goals, Messi is now tied with former Real Madrid players Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale. Just one more will put him on par with Ronaldo, and two will put him ahead of him.
Luis Suarez, on the other hand, has five goals to his credit and has the potential to soar to the top of the lists if he can have another successful run in goal scoring.
At Hard Rock Stadium in Florida, Inter Miami will return to Club World Cup action on Monday as they play Palmeiras in their last group stage match.
The Florida-based club will advance to the round of 16, and Messi will have more chances to pursue Ronaldo if they have a successful outcome there.
