Scott McTominay is reportedly playing a key role in Rasmus Hojlund completing a move away from Manchester United as Napoli are on the verge of agreeing a deal with the Denmark international.
Given that United has signed Benjamin Sesko as their new first-choice striker, Hojlund has been told he is free to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The Danish forward is adamant about staying and retaining his position, thus he has been hesitant to leave. However, he is now amenable to going back to Italy after being left out of the squad for United’s first two Premier League games.

According to Corriere dello Sport as reported by The Metro, McTominay called Hojlund over the weekend, bringing Napoli “edging ever closer” to a deal.
According to the report, the former Atalanta star’s conversation is probably a “decisive step towards a definitive yes.”
Hojlund has advocated for a loan transfer with a commitment to make the move permanent next summer.
