Mbeumo May Be Sent Back To Man United Earlier Than Expected From AFCON

Mbeumo May Be Sent Back To Man United Earlier Than Expected From AFCON

Manchester United are getting ready to temporarily lose three important players: Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, and Noussair Mazraoui as they leave to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The tournament, which is being hosted in Morocco will see the Atlas Lions play Comoros on Sunday.

United supporters are excited to find out when their trio might return as the final is scheduled to take place in Rabat on Sunday, January 18.

According to the Daily Express, Morocco, the host nation are predicted by a new AFCON Supercomputer forecast to win their first AFCON title since 1976.

If this happens, Ruben Amorim won’t have a chance to play United’s full-back Mazraoui until the team’s January 25 away game against Arsenal.

Cameroon Predicted For An Early Exit

The report further stated that Mbeumo’s Cameroon would be eliminated early in the group stages, which might enable him to return for United’s away match against Leeds on January 4.

Although Cameroon and Mbeumo would be disappointed by such a result, United would undoubtedly benefit from having one of their important players return sooner rather than later.

Additionally, the supercomputer predicts that Senegal will defeat Amad’s Ivory Coast 3-0 in the semifinals.

He would still be absent from the January 17 Manchester derby, though, since Ivory Coast are expected to play in the third-place playoff and lose to Uganda on penalties.

According to the prediction, Amad might return to the club at the same time as Mazraoui, perhaps in time for the late January game against Arsenal.

Egypt and their top player, Mohamed Salah, are expected to lose 1-0 to Comoros in the round of 16, which could be the most unexpected result of the tournament.

Amorim has the difficult challenge of coming up with answers as Mbeumo, Amad, and Mazraoui are out for the foreseeable future.
