Mbeumo Lauds Man United Transfer Target Ahead Potential Move

Bryan Mbeumo has reportedly heaped praises on Aston Villa forward, Ollie Watkins ahead of a possible summer move to Manchester United.

Ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, Ruben Amorim’s attack has been greatly strengthened by Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha in recent weeks.

Nevertheless, since Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have fallen short of their respective price tags, there is still a desire to sign a new number nine.

According to recent sources, Watkins has become United’s top target for that role, and they may try to work out a deal with Villa.

Although the two teams currently seem to have very different valuations, Mbeumo, a former teammate of Watkins at Brentford, hopes that United’s management will keep up their good work.

Together, they scored 40 goals in the second division during their one season of playing together in the 2019–20 Championship.

According to The Mirror as reported by Sports Mole, Mbeumo has called the England international a “complete” player and stated that he would like to play with him once more.

Mbeumo said: “I think he’s really complete. He’s like a complete striker. He can do a lot of things.

“He can drop with the set or go in behind and I think this is really good for me or for a winger, because you can use his space to fit in there. And he can combine as well. So I think it’s really good.”

There is currently reportedly a £20 million valuation standoff. Villa rightfully want around £60m for Watkins, while United are believed to be eager to sign him for £40 million.
