Manchester United have submitted a second bid exceeding £60 million for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo as talks intensify this summer.

Their first offer of £55 million was turned down, but United remain confident they can secure the 26-year-old attacker’s signature.
Mbeumo is eager to join United, despite Tottenham’s pursuit following the arrival of his former boss Thomas Frank in North London.
Goalkeeper Andre Onana has personally encouraged Mbeumo to join United, and the player’s relative, a United fan, is reportedly backing the move.
Mbeumo had an outstanding season, scoring 20 goals in 38 league appearances and showcasing his versatility across the front line.
His Brentford contract ends next year, though the club holds an option to extend it by another 12 months if needed.
United view Mbeumo as an ideal upgrade for their right flank, especially after missing out on Sporting’s Geovany Quenda to Chelsea, reports Manchester Evening.
Having spent £62.5 million on Matheus Cunha, United are ready to match that amount for a similarly impactful and flexible forward.
Cunha scored 15 goals last season, and Brentford are demanding comparable value for Mbeumo’s productivity and positional flexibility.
United’s pre-season begins July 7, with a U.S. tour starting July 22 — they hope Mbeumo joins the squad before then.
