Mbappe first match against his former club since leaving on a free transfer in June 2024, capping off one of football’s longest transfer sagas.
The winner of this match will meet Chelsea in the Club World Cup Final, after they defeated Fluminense 2-0 in the first semi-final yesterday night.
Since Mbappe’s departure, the Parisians have won three titles: Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the Champions League, defeating Inter Milan 5-0 in the final.
When asked if his Paris Saint-Germain team was better now than when Mbappe was there, coach Luis Enrique refused to make comparisons.

The French striker had claimed major weight loss after being hospitalized with food sickness, causing him to miss all group stage games and lose 6kg.
Real Madrid hopes to win its sixth Club World Cup and first in this format, while PSG hopes to complete a historic quadruple.
Dean Huijsen, a former Bournemouth defender, is suspended for Los Blancos, while William Pacho and Lucas Hernandez are also suspended for Paris.
