Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has reportedly revealed the Blues will be without eight first team players ahead of their Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday.
Due to injuries and suspensions, Maresca has a reduced squad to choose from when Chelsea host the Premier League titleholders at Stamford Bridge.
Cole Palmer is on a lengthy list of absentees due to a persistent groin issue, while Trevoh Chalobah serves his one-game suspension after being sent off in last weekend’s 3-1 home loss to Brighton.

Palmer has now been left out of the most recent England squad for their next matches against Latvia and Wales, but Maresca has disclosed that a discussion over Chelsea’s top player is about to take place.
According to The Evening Standard, while speaking in the pre-match press conference on Friday morning, the Italian said: “Cole is still out. We have Trev suspended. Seven or eight players out for tomorrow’s game.
“I don’t have any update at the moment [on Palmer]. We have a meeting this week.”
