Aston Villa does not have first dibs on the England attacker, but Marcus Rashford is free to leave Manchester United this summer for £40 million.
Rashford was signed by Villa on loan in January for the rest of the season, with the option to finalize the transfer this summer for £40 million.

However, it has been revealed that other teams may sign Rashford if they can match United’s asking price of £40 million, and Villa does not have first choice over the 27-year-old.
Rashford, who left on loan after losing favor with United manager Ruben Amorim, has a contract earning £300,000 per week at Old Trafford through 2028.
While Amorim is in charge, he is aware that he has no future at United and is working to find a permanent home this summer with a team that can provide him with Champions League football.
That might be Villa, who are still in the close race for a Champions League spot, but Rashford wants to leave Unai Emery’s team and is looking to transfer abroad, preferably to Barcelona.
Villa is reportedly paying at least 75% of Rashford’s wage under the terms of the loan arrangement with United, with the remaining amount coming from his parent club, reports Mirror.
it is likely that the striker will have to go on loan again if Rashford and his agents are unable to find a new team for him to join permanently this summer.
