According to AS Roma Live, Manchester United has spoken with Serie A club Roma about a possible swap deal involving Joshua Zirkee and Evan Ndicka.
Zirkzee’s future at Old Trafford is unknown, since Ruben Amorim clearly does not like the Dutch striker. Zirkzee has struggled to make the impression anticipated of him since his move from Bologna, and leaving appears to be a viable option as the January transfer market starts in just a few days.
A departure in the early weeks of the January window may not benefit United because Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo are away at AFCON, but when everyone is fit and ready, there is little room for Zirkzee in the squad.
Man Utd Holds Talks Over Zirkzee Departure
According to AS Roma Live, Manchester United is interested in signing Roma centre-back Ndicka to help bolster their defense. The Red Devils are claimed to have spoken with Roma about the centre-back amid conversations with Zirkzee, who could be on his way out.

According to reports, United could attempt to recruit Ndicka, who has been described as ‘phenomenal’, as part of a deal that would see Zirkzee join for Roma on a permanent basis next summer, following a probable loan move to the Serie A club.
The Red Devils are not expected to make a move for Ndicka in the January window, but a deal could be conceivable next summer if Zirkzee’s anticipated loan transfer with Roma is made permanent.
There is a case to be made that signing a new central midfielder should be United’s first priority, but next summer provides an opportunity to strengthen in a variety of areas. Amorim’s team addressed their attacking woes in the most recent summer window with a triple signing, and their focus can now shift to defence and midfield heading into 2026.
