Manchester United have confirmed further seating changes at Old Trafford, sparking concerns among supporters ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
The club announced that a small number of season ticket holders in the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand will be relocated.
The move comes as United plan to install additional premium hospitality seating in one of the stadium’s most valuable locations.

This follows a similar decision last summer when around 500 supporters sitting behind the dugouts were forced to move seats.
Those seats were converted into hospitality sections offering closer access to the pitch and the team benches.
The club says the changes are necessary due to the high commercial value of the area and upcoming dugout works.
Officials also explained that stadium modifications are required before the club’s next European campaign begins.
Fans Fear Further Disruption
Despite assurances from the club, the announcement is expected to trigger further backlash from supporters affected by the decision.
United stated that relocated fans will be offered the best possible alternative seats within the lower tier of the stadium.
However, similar changes last season led to protests from long-time season ticket holders in the same section, reports Manchester Evening News.
Some supporters complained about losing seats they had occupied for decades inside the historic stadium.
Reports also suggested older fans struggled with the news due to accessibility concerns and emotional attachment to their seats.
Supporters even displayed protest banners aimed toward the directors’ box during matches last season.
Nevertheless, the club pushed ahead with the hospitality expansion, arguing the location holds significant commercial value.
