Manchester United are preparing to sign Carlos Baleba in a record deal this summer.
Ruben Amorim wants to strengthen his midfield after spending £200 million to sign Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha to his forward line.
Baleba, regarded as one of the world’s finest young prospects, is at the top of his wishlist, and sources indicate that an opening player-plus-cash bid has already been rejected.
A second proposal is imminent, and according to The Guardian, Baleba has privately expressed his desire to move to Old Trafford.
Baleba has made no secret of his wants in public. Earlier this season, he told the same outlet, “I want to be a big midfielder, a legend, across the world.”

According to The Guardian, United is putting together a transfer plan.
With Chelsea expecting to sign Alejandro Garnacho and AC Milan showing strong interest in Rasmus Hojlund, United’s coffers are set to be strengthened before the transfer market closes on September 1.
