Manchester City and Chelsea have taken moves to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes during the summer transfer season.
According to Wednesday’s edition of Sport, both Manchester City and Chelsea have approached the attacker.
This season, the Brazil international played nearly 3,300 minutes across 50 games, scoring 13 goals and assisting 10 times.
He hasn’t played since the Copa del Rey final defeat to Barcelona on April 26th, and his league minutes had been reduced before that.

According to the article, Kylian Mbappé’s presence has an impact on Rodrygo because the coaching staff has singled him out in recent months. They also say he doesn’t want to play under Carlo Ancelotti, who is leaving Los Blancos soon.
Real Madrid must appoint a new manager, who will decide on the 24-year-old’s future. He and his crew are currently considering leaving Real Madrid after this season.
Rodrygo has offers from the Premier League, and unnamed Saudi clubs are exerting pressure on him. They have not disclosed which English clubs have submitted proposals.
Chelsea and Manchester City have approached him and are currently ‘awaiting the player’s final decision’ on a trade. The newspaper says that the appropriate deal, without specifying specifics, may persuade Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez.
