Manchester United are considering adding a new forward to Ruben Amorim’s attacking lineup, according to GIVEMESPORT senior journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Manchester United are apparently searching for a versatile and ‘energetic’ attacker who can play in a variety of places, with Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi among those being considered.
United are said to be keeping an eye on numerous players at the moment, but have yet to identify their top target, as concrete talks for Adeyemi have not yet occurred.
Adeyemi, who joined Dortmund from Austrian side Salzburg in the summer of 2022, has less than two years left on his contract, which expires in June 2027.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that the Red Devils had yet to contact Dortmund or Adeyemi’s representatives.

“Manchester United are looking for a player who can play as a winger, as a number 10, behind the striker, and be electric, skilful, talented, and fast, as Karim Adeyemi is.”
“So, for sure, Man United is tracking several players with those abilities, and Adeyemi is one of the finest in Europe when it comes to this.
“But, as of today, are Manchester United in negotiations with Adeyemi’s agents? Are Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund contemplating a January transfer?
“From what I’m told, at this stage of the year, Man United have not started a concrete negotiation, a concrete discussion for Karim Adeyemi.”
Manchester United spent about £200 million on new attackers during the summer transfer window, signing Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko.
Manchester United are anticipated to pursue a new midfield signing in 2026, with Brighton’s Carlos Baleba remaining their top summer target.
United wanted to sign the Cameroonian this summer, but the south coast club demanded a club record amount for the 21-year-old midfielder.
