Manchester United are reportedly exploring a move for Crystal Palace midfielder, Adam Wharton following Brighton and Hove Albion’s reluctance to budge on Carlos Baleba.
Ruben Amorim is eager to complete any outstanding transfer negotiations before to the start of the upcoming Premier League season.
The Red Devils could add a few new players to the roster if the club’s management puts in more work ahead of United’s clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford this Sunday.
The Premier League giants have already spent more than £200 million on new players this summer, and as the deadline of September 1 draws near, they don’t appear to be slowing down.

According to the Telegraph, Brighton are asking for “more than £100m” for Baleba, who is still being closely linked to a move to Old Trafford. According to the source, United are hesitant to spend that much money on the 21-year-old midfield player.
The two Premier League clubs have reportedly not communicated directly enough to indicate that an agreement is imminent.
Man United Identify Wharton As Baleba Alternative
The Independent as claimed by the Daily Star, Adam Wharton has been identified by United as a Baleba alternative. The report indicates that the Red Devils may try to sign the Crystal Palace midfielder if they are unable prise the Brighton ace from the Amex Stadium.
It’s reported that United are long admirers of the duo, but the publication claims that Wharton might cost even more this summer with Steve Parish unwilling to do business considering that the Eagles could potentially lose Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze.
