West Ham United midfielder, Mateus Fernandes is reported to be scouted by Manchester United for the 2025–26 season.
The 21-year-old, who moved from Southampton to the London Stadium during the summer transfer window, has been a standout player for the Hammers this season.
In 27 Premier League games, Fernandes has three goals and three assists, and it is believed that other European clubs have taken notice of his performances.
Fernandes is reportedly unwilling to remain with the Hammers in the event that they are relegated from the Premier League this season, according to talkSPORT.

Prior to their matchup with title-chasing Manchester City on Saturday, West Ham are presently ranked 18th in the Premier League standings, tied for 17th place with Nottingham Forest.
Fernandes Has Long-Term Contract With West Ham
Although Fernandes’ contract with the Hammers is set to expire in the summer of 2030, it is said that the Portuguese player has expressed his desire to avoid playing in the Championship the following year.
Fernandes is said to have been scouted by Man United this season; the Red Devils are anticipated to add two new midfield players during the summer transfer window.
One of those is anticipated to be a high-profile addition, but the team will need to use creativity to find a second player in that field.
Fernandes’ stock has increased since West Ham paid £38 million plus £4 million in add-ons for him last summer, but the London club’s position in any future negotiations would undoubtedly be weakened by relegation from the Premier League.
