Ruben Amorim questioned his role after Manchester United’s most recent Premier League loss.
The Red Devils are currently 16th in the division, and the manager has not been able to improve the team’s domestic performance.
Only the winners of the Europa League Tottenham distance United from the bottom three clubs in the table, while Amorim was once again left to ponder on his struggles as his team registered their most extended winless streak in the division.

The Portuguese coach was the one who sought to take responsibility after the goalless draw.
He said: “It’s not the players’ fault. It’s my fault, I’m responsible. If we cannot change that really fast, we should give our place to different persons”.
Despite that, it would appear United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has a degree of sympathy for Amorim’s viewpoint, reports Mirror.
His success in the Europa League does not appear to be the only factor keeping him employed.
Ratcliffe discussed the conditions Amorim has had to work under earlier in the season, and since the team’s performance was no better at the time, he implied the head coach was doing a decent job.
“I think he’s done a great job in the circumstances, frankly, with the squad that he’s had available, the fact he came in mid-season,” he explained.
