Man United Interested In Bellingham

Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Jobe Bellingham’s situation at Borussia Dortmund.

The Red Devils manager, Ruben Amorim is said to view the England youth player as a perfect fit for his strategy.

According to BILD, United are closely monitoring Bellingham’s situation in Germany following the 19-year-old’s challenging start to life at Signal Iduna Park.

According to the report, Amorim is a big fan of the youngster and reckons his combination of intelligence and agility would fit his preferred 3-4-2-1 structure, especially in central areas where the Red Devils lack long-term solutions.

Bellingham only moved to Dortmund from Sunderland in the summer, but under Niko Kovač, he has had difficulty finding consistent playing time.

The midfielder, who signed a five-year contract, has only made a few appearances thus far, usually coming on as a substitute or in cup competition.

After making significant investments in United’s forward line last summer, bringing in Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Šeško, and Matheus Cunha in a significant attacking revamp, Amorim is believed to be looking to bolster the midfield as  there is still room for improvement in the middle of the park.

Amorim wants to give his midfield more vitality and dynamism because Casemiro is nearing the twilight of his career and Kobbie Mainoo is surprisingly having a hard time playing this season.

The Portuguese coach, who is rearranging United’s playing style around a more flexible and aggressive structure, is said to be drawn to Bellingham’s versatility, physical power, and ability to carry the ball under pressure.
