Man United remain active in the final stretch of the transfer window, with both signings and departures still on the agenda for Ruben Amorim’s side.
The Red Devils have already strengthened their attack with Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, but Amorim is keen to add another midfielder before deadline day.
Carlos Baleba has been considered, though his price tag has cooled United’s interest, reports Mirror.
Goalkeeper speculation has also dominated discussions, with Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford.
That has led to links with Paris Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma.
United Join Race For Donnarumma
According to reports, Manchester City have already opened talks with PSG over Donnarumma, prompting United to consider a swift move of their own.
PSG are willing to cash in, with the Italian entering the final year of his contract after Lucas Chevalier’s arrival.
City are reluctant to meet the £40m asking price, which could leave United with an opening if negotiations drag on.
Donnarumma’s high wages, however, remain a stumbling block.
Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho’s proposed exit has encountered fresh difficulties.
Roma are interested in a loan deal and have reached an agreement with United, but Sancho’s agents are said to be demanding excessive commissions.
That stance has already deterred Juventus and Atletico Madrid, with Besiktas and Saudi Arabian clubs now emerging as alternative destinations.
Unless his representatives soften their demands, Sancho’s long-awaited departure could collapse before the deadline.
