Man United Give Barcelona Green Light To Seal Rashford Transfer

Manchester United are reportedly said to not have the plans to be in the way of Barcelona if they intend to seal the signature of Marcus Rashford this summer.

The freshly crowned La Liga winners’ interest in the United academy graduate was revealed by Barcelona sporting director Deco on Thursday, who said the club “like” him.

Rashford was mentioned by Deco along with Liverpool star Luis Diaz as part of the Spanish team’s plans to bolster their wide options this summer.

“We like Luis Diaz, we like Rashford and we like other wingers too,” said Deco. “We can’t talk about players under contract with other clubs.”

Rashford, whose contract with United expires in 2028, is presently on loan at Aston Villa after joining the Champions League qualification contenders in the closing days of the January transfer window.

In 17 games with Villa, he has four goals and six assists to his credit.

According to Manchester Evening News, Rashford is expected to move abroad this summer, opening the door for a possible move to Barcelona, who have been linked to the England international on multiple occasions in recent years.

Even though sources claim he has “never been more happier” at Villa, who play the Red Devils on Sunday.

In order to raise money to assist Ruben Amorim in rebuilding his team in preparation for the 2025–2026 campaign, United intend to give priority to the sales of Jadon Sancho, Rashford, and Antony this summer.

Sancho and Antony are presently on loan, just like the England international.
