Man United Are Frontrunners In Race To Sign £70m Lliman Ndiaye Ahead Of Three Other Clubs

Manchester United are reportedly leading the race to sign Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, who is valued at £70 million.

The Senegal international has starred for the Toffees, and it’s no surprise that he’s attracting interest from a number of big teams.

We previously revealed that Ndiaye is on United and Arsenal’s radar, and there is now an update on his future ahead of the summer.

According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United appear to be the early favourites to sign Ndiaye, however Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham are also mentioned as potential contenders for the 25-year-old.

Despite making numerous mistakes in the transfer market over the last decade, there may be some indicators that United is improving its recruitment.

Last summer, the Red Devils added Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko to form an entirely new front three, and they’ve done well thus far.

Mbeumo, in particular, has been quite impressive for MUFC, and targeting another established Premier League attacking player, such as Ndiaye, could yield similar results.

The dynamic forward has five goals and two assists in 20 league games this season, and one imagines he could easily enhance those stats with stronger players surrounding him.

Do Manchester United need to pay £70 million on Ndiaye?

Some United fans may be wary of this potential signing, since Ndiaye would definitely not be cheap.

According to TEAMtalk, Everton will demand £70 million for their star player, and United may need to focus more on other positions.

Given the impressive play of Mbeumo and Cunha, as well as Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorgu, Ndiaye would have stiff competition at Old Trafford, and it’s unclear whether he’d start that many games.

The club will most likely need to focus and invest heavily in new midfielders, as Casemiro is due to leave as a free agent this summer, while Manuel Ugarte has struggled since joining from Paris Saint-Germain.
