Manchester United are reportedly in talks with Aston Villa over the early return of Marcus Rashford following his injury.
The England international will be out for weeks after missing Villa’s loss to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final.
Prior to the match, the 27-year-old sustained a hamstring injury that appears to have ruined his season. Rashford is already declared ineligible for the season’s last match against United, but there are still four Premier League games left as Unai Emery’s team attempt to qualify for the Champions League.
“He’s injured,” said Emery last week. “He got injured this week and [Friday] we did a test. It’s his hamstring. We are going to try to test him each match but he’s injured and probably some weeks he won’t be available.”

And now there will likely be conversations over where the United academy product spends the rest of the season, per reports.
According to The Mirror, Villa are in talks with United over a possible return of Rashford to Old Trafford.
Although Rashford has acknowledged that he will not play for the Red Devils again, he may soon rejoin the 13-time Premier League winners.
The striker is in a rare situation of his career at Old Trafford looking to be at an end, yet being under contract until 2028.
Rashford reportedly wants to go for a team that offers Champions League football, with clubs in Spain showing interest. The Villans have the option to make his loan a permanent one for £40 million.
