Former Everton goalkeeper, Tim Howard has reportedly told Ipswich Town forward, Liam Delap to reject Manchester United advances and instead sign for Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
In Kieran McKenna’s struggling Ipswich team this season, Delap has excelled, scoring 12 goals and dishing out two assists in an impressive debut season in the Premier League.
However, Delap’s impact was ultimately insufficient to keep the Tractor Boys from going down, and it is anticipated that the 22-year-old striker will leave Portman Road.
After it was revealed that Delap would only cost £30 million because of a relegation clause in his contract, several elite teams were notified of a possible deal.

When the transfer window opens, the Manchester City academy graduate is anticipated to interest Manchester United, Liverpool, and Everton, all of whom are looking for a center-forward.
According to The Metro, Howard thinks a move to Stamford Bridge might be the ideal fit for the highly sought-after England Under-21 international, who has also been linked to Chelsea with a keen interest.
Asked which club he would choose if he was Delap, Howard replied: “Honestly, I think Chelsea are desperate for a striker.
“The Manchester United pull, I think for a player like him, it’s still there. Whether that feels different because he was a City player…
“I like the Chelsea profile, I like the young team. He goes into a young team and there’s goals there.”
