Manchester City reportedly offered about £35 million to capture Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ahead of the summer transfer window, but the Toffees want £40 million, according to Fichajes.
Dewsbury-Hall has had a great start to life on Merseyside since moving from Chelsea in the summer. The former Leicester City player struggled to establish himself at Stamford Bridge, and a fresh start was just what he needed to relaunch his career.
The English midfielder has already missed a significant portion of the season due to injury, but he has seamlessly reintegrated into David Moyes’ squad, scoring against Fulham at the weekend. The Toffees will definitely want to keep him, but it is never easy when Manchester City comes knocking with an offer on the table.

According to reports, Dewsbury-Hall is interested in joining Pep Guardiola’s side provided the two clubs can agree on a cost, with the City manager approving the deal. The prospect of working with Guardiola is a major motivation for Dewsbury-Hall’s readiness to make the short trip to Manchester this summer.
Given the influence Dewsbury-Hall has already had on the Toffees since his arrival, losing him in the near future would be a significant loss.
