Pep Guardiola has stated that a decision would be taken on Jack Grealish future with Manchester City at the end of the season.
The England international, who was signed from Aston Villa for £100 million four years ago, has slid down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium since his standout performance in the 2023 treble-winning season.
The 29-year-old has made just seven Premier League starts this season and did not get off the bench in Saturday’s FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace. Reported By Birmingham live.
That has fueled rumors that he could leave this summer, but Guardiola assures that nothing has been decided and that talks will take place between outgoing director of football Txiki Begiristain, his successor Hugo Viana, and the player’s representation.

Guardiola added, “We didn’t chat, and I didn’t talk to him. People do not believe me, but these things belong to the agents, the club, Txiki, and, in this case, Hugo as well. Both will make a decision.
“What is going to happen will happen, but he has to come back to start to play minutes again.”
Guardiola understands that Grealish, who has two years left on his contract, will be unhappy with his lack of activity.
He said, “It’s not only Jack. There isn’t a single player in my locker room, or any locker room around the world, who is happy when they don’t play.
“When the team is winning and winning they have to figure out how everything happens – but they are not happy.
“They are here to play and, when they don’t play, they are not satisfied. That is the normal position in all the clubs.”
