Arsenal winger, Noni Madueke is reportedly undergoing a scan after injuring his right knee during the Gunners’ 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Sunday.

Bukayo Saka took the attacker’s position at halftime after he was observed clutching his right knee near the end of the first half.

After making his official debut off the bench in the 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford, he has started the Gunners’ last five games.

Madueke started both of England’s international matches and also scored a goal in the 5-0 thumping of Serbia in Belgrade earlier this month.

Madueke Enjoying Start To Life At Arsenal

Madueke has been one of the Gunners’ bright sparks since joining from Chelsea in the summer, so they will be hoping for positive news regarding him.

Following yesterday’s game, Mikel Arteta disclosed that the 23-year-old became aware of the issue “very early” in the tie with City. Erling Haaland opened the score at the Emirates, but Arsenal rallied to earn a point.

Gabriel Martinelli scored in stoppage time to give the Gunners a share of the victory, making it two goals in as many games from the bench.

Kai Havertz had knee surgery last month, adding to the club’s already severe injury woes in north London.

After missing four weeks due to a hamstring injury, Saka made his Arsenal return from the bench on Sunday. However, captain Martin Odegaard is out again after aggravating a shoulder issue that was initially diagnosed in August.
