Luis Diaz stated that he and his camp will make the best decision for his future as he remains linked with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Diaz’s future has been a source of debate for months, with Barcelona looking for a left-sided forward to relieve the attacking burden of Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski.
It appeared like Barcelona would sign Nico Williams from Barcelona, but for the second summer in a row, the Catalan club was unable to complete a deal for the Spanish international. Williams signed a new 10-year contract with Athletic Club last week, forcing Barcelona to reconsider its wish list.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick and sports director Deco praised Diaz near the end of the 2024-25 season, while Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford is also an option.
Bayern is also looking for a new winger following the departure of Leroy Sane, who joined with Galatasaray as a free agent last month.
Bild claimed on Monday that Diaz has guaranteed Bayern that he will join them this summer.
“We’re there, negotiating,” Diaz added. “We’ll see what we can achieve for ourselves and the club. We will do our best to make the best decision.

“We’re in the process of negotiating with the club, Liverpool, and everyone that has approached us. But I’m extremely tranquil where I am, and very happy. “Trying to make the best decision right now.”
Diaz is under contract with Liverpool until 2027, yet he continues to be paid on the same terms that he signed when he joined from Porto in 2022, implying that he is considerably underpaid in relation to his value to Arne Slot’s squad.
