Liverpool fans rightly become nervous when Real Madrid’s name is mentioned in regard to their top players.
The Reds have lost far too many quality players to Los Blancos over the years, and ties were undoubtedly strained by what Liverpool saw as a pitiful offer for Trent Alexander-Arnold last year, before he eventually moved to the Bernabeu the following summer.
Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch, and Alexis MacAllister have all been connected with a move to Spain’s capital. Last week, Dominik Szoboszlai’s links to Real Madrid sparked controversy. In actuality, the reports were based on very little.

His international manager, Marco Rossi, claimed last week that it was Szoboszlai’s “dream” to play for Real Madrid as a child, a fantasy shared by millions throughout the world. Vinicius Junior then escalated the situation by revealing that the Liverpool midfielder is one of his closest confidants outside of the Real Madrid dressing room.
The fact that he mentioned players from Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea, and AC Milan was slightly disregarded, Reported By Liverpool News.
Aside from that, there have been no rumors indicating Real is aggressively interested in Szoboszlai.
In many respects, the speculation reflects the present media scene, where noise and filling in the gaps reign supreme. Mohamed Salah’s statement that Szoboszlai is now one of the world’s top players, as well as recent comparisons to Steven Gerrard, have undoubtedly heightened the tale.
Admittedly, the Hungarian’s recent admission that contract talks have stalled in recent weeks has provided an interesting backdrop to this inflated transfer story, but with over two years left on Szoboszlai’s current contract and talk that he could be a future Liverpool captain, there’s little concern internally that a new deal hasn’t been reached.
