Liverpool Set To Decide On Elliott Price Tag As Summer Clear Out Continues

Liverpool could reportedly slap £50million on Harvey Elliott as the midfielder looks set to leave Anfield this summer transfer window.

Elliott, 22, recently won the under-21 European Championship’s player of the tournament award.

The midfielder helped England win the competition by scoring five goals in six games, including one against Germany in the final. Now that rumors of a move away are growing, Elliott’s attention will be on his future at the club level.

However, the 22-year-old has set a condition for his next team, and it won’t be cheap.

What Are Harvey Elliott’s Demands?

According to The Athletic as reported by The Mirror, Elliott wants to play at the highest level on a regular basis and would prefer to join a Champions League team.

Additionally, any suitors will need to pay a substantial amount. The Reds are reportedly going to demand a fee of at least £40 million with a buy-back clause, or more than £50 million without one.

Elliott made an impression for the Young Lions in Slovakia, and RB Leipzig, Tottenham, and Brentford have all been mentioned as suitors.

He missed Liverpool’s autumn campaign due to a fractured foot, and Arne Slot gave him just five starts in general, including two in the Premier League, throughout the 2024–25 season.

That’s prompted Elliott to weigh up his future on Merseyside, not wanting to ‘waste’ years of his career. “I think it’s a situation that me and the team on my behalf have to have a conversation about,” the former Fulham wonderkid said ahead of the Euros.

“I’m coming into an age now where I’m 22 – I’m gonna be 23 next season – and I don’t really want to be wasting years in my career because it’s a short career, you don’t know what’s gonna happen.”
