Bayern Munich believes Liverpool and Yan Diomande have reached a personal understanding for the winger to transfer to Anfield at the end of the season.
Diomande has emerged as one of Europe’s top young forwards this season, with nine goals and seven assists in 25 games in all competitions for RB Leipzig. A Bayern source, known as ‘Bayern Space’ on social networking platform X, claims the German club, which is also interested in Diomande, believes the 19-year-old will end up at Liverpool.
According to the insider, if Diomande transfers to Merseyside, Bayern could want to sign Cody Gakpo this summer.

Last year, Gakpo said that Bayern was interested in him before signing Liverpool teammate Luis Diaz. “From what I understand, they did arrive, but they ended up purchasing Luis Diaz,” Gakpo stated in September 2025.
Meanwhile, Diomande appears to be considered as a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah on Liverpool’s right side of the attack.
Salah signed a two-year deal with Liverpool last year, and his contract runs until 2027.
However, he has exhibited notable indications of decline this season and is expected to attract interest from Saudi Pro League clubs this summer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham has reportedly slapped a $77 million price tag on Lucas Bergvall, indicating interest from Liverpool.
Bergvall, who turned 20 earlier this month, has been one of Tottenham’s best buys in recent years, which is why the North London club believes he is worth substantially more than the $11 million it paid to sign him in 2024.
According to Swedish outlet Fotboll Direkt, Liverpool will continue to follow Bergvall’s situation at Spurs and is ready to take advantage if the opportunity arises.
