Liverpool Hold Talks To Sign Another Frimpong Teammate

Liverpool may disrupt the status quo in the summer transfer chase for Florian Wirtz, a star for Bayer Leverkusen. The playmaker and his family have reportedly spoken with the Reds about a possible move to the Premier League.

Having only acquired Federico Chiesa from Juventus last summer, the Reds will have the opportunity to make a significant investment this time around after easily winning the top flight earlier this season.

Wirtz’s close associates have spoken with Richard Hughes and his recruitment staff about a potential shift.

The report by German newspaper Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger indicates that Leverkusen have yet to receive an offer for Wirtz, with the former Bundesliga winners not expected to make a rapid decision on his future.

According to the article, although there are rumors that his transfer to Bayern Munich is nearly finalized, it is believed that the issue is more complicated than it appears.

Although a move to Bavaria doesn’t seem “particularly realistic,” Wirtz might still move to Munich, which would open the door to Liverpool, reports Give Me Sport.

In order to avoid widening the gulf between themselves and Vincent Kompany’s team, Leverkusen is hoping for a contract extension but if that doesn’t materialize, they will prefer to transfer overseas.
