Liverpool could lose more key players even after addressing the futures of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, and Virgil van Dijk. All three Reds players will be out of contract at the conclusion of the season.
Real Madrid is said to have made an offer for Alexander-Arnold, although it is unknown where Salah and Van Dijk will play football next season. It is Liverpool’s biggest challenge entering the second half of the Premier League season.
Even if that issue is resolved, Liverpool faces other contractual issues with a number of key players. Several stars’ contracts will expire during the next two and a half years.

When players’ contracts reach their final two seasons, the balance of power shifts in their favour. A free transfer is lucrative because to the higher signing-on fee, and it also provides players with a fresh start elsewhere.
According to The Athletic, a startling 15 Liverpool first-team players will enter the final two years of their contracts at the start of next season.
Liverpool’s contracts for Ibrahima Konate, Caomhin Kelleher, Andy Robertson, Vitezslav Jaros, and Trey Nyoni expire in 2026. Konate has played a key role under Slot and Liverpool will likely want to extend his terms. Kelleher, Robertson, Jaros, and Nyoni are young players who have performed well in rare cameos. Additionally, Liverpool’s contracts for ten players are set to expire in the summer.
