Liverpool have completed the transfer of Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt for a total of £79 million. The contract comprises an initial fee of £69 million, with a further £10 million structured as performance-based add-ons.
These bonuses are significantly weighted towards Ekitike making a significant contribution to Liverpool’s on-field success and are structured similarly to the club’s recent arrangement with Florian Wirtz.
This new move brings Liverpool’s summer expenditure close to £300 million, as the club strengthens its forward line as part of a larger recruitment effort under Arne Slot.
