Quansah has been a vital player for Leverkusen since his arrival last summer, making 28 games in all competitions and scoring twice.
The 23-year-old also made his England debut last year, starting in a 2-0 victory over Albania in a World Cup qualifying match in November.
Quansah, who was lauded as ‘amazing’, made only 58 senior appearances for Liverpool after graduating from the club’s youth, including 17 starts in his first two seasons.
