Liverpool Discover Three Conditions Before Isak Transfer Is Completed

Alexander Isak is still adamant about leaving St. James’s Park amid emergency talks with Newcastle’s management.

The Newcastle striker has stated once more that he wants to leave before Monday’s transfer deadline and that he wants to join Liverpool.

Liverpool have had one bid turned down, but they are willing to make another if they are encouraged. However, they are still far below Newcastle’s £150 million asking price.

Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the chairman of Newcastle, is trying to work out a deal that would keep Isak at St. James’s Park.

Newcastle Management Willing To Keep Isak At The Club

According to The Mirror, club directors Jacobo Solis and Jamie Reuben spoke with Isak at his home on Monday before Newcastle’s match against Liverpool.

The purpose of the meeting was to find a solution that would allow Isak to return to Newcastle squad. The Sweden international has missed the first two games of the season because of his strike action.

Isak, however, has stated unequivocally that he wants to join Liverpool and that his position is unaltered.

With little time left to find replacements in the transfer market, it is still unclear if Newcastle will approve a departure.

According to the Daily Express, before considering approving a deal, the Magpies are demanding that three conditions must be fulfilled: two new players must be signed and their valuation must be matched.

The Toons have remained steadfast in their decision not to sell all summer, but this resolve is probably going to encounter another hurdle before the window closes.

They have been linked with moves for Brentford forward, Yoane Wissa and recently, Wolves’ Jorge Strand Larsen but both clubs have rejected Newcastle’s approach for their prized assets.
