Liverpool might capture Real Madrid star Rodrygo Goes in a spectacular swap deal, according to a recent Spanish rumor.
The 24-year-old’s future has been the topic of debate in recent months, as he has struggled to obtain consistent game time at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.
The Brazilian was a vital member in former boss Carlo Ancelotti’s starting lineup, but after Kylian Mbappe arrived, he lost his place. Eventually, he found himself on the bench towards the end of the season.
Following that, he was strongly linked with a move away during the previous transfer window. However, a transfer was not completed by the deadline.

This season, his status has not improved under new manager Xabi Alonso, with only three starts in the Champions League and La Liga combined.
According to a recent Spanish source (via Fichajes), Real Madrid is set to part ways with the South American, and Alonso is looking to sign a new creative midfielder.
Los Blancos intend to launch a formal bid to buy Florian Wirtz from Liverpool, offering Rodrygo, who is valued at roughly £70 million by Transfermarkt, in a swap deal.
Rodrygo to Liverpool.
Los Blancos want to sign the German after he struggled in the Premier League, scoring no goals in 11 outings. It appears that Alonso admires his former teammate and believes he can bring out the best in him.
Rodrygo is an ideal target for Liverpool to bolster their offensive lineup. They don’t want to split ways with Wirtz just yet, either, given they paid a high price for him last summer. So, they’re willing to be patient and allow him time to adjust to the physicality of the Premier League.
After allowing Luis Diaz leave last summer, Arne Slot did not sign a natural left-winger and instead used Wirtz in the remaining two matches. However, the German is not a naturally dynamic winger; instead, he prefers to play centrally.
As a result, buying Rodrygo could be the ideal move for Liverpool to strengthen the left side of their assault. However, it would be intriguing to watch whether the Merseyside club accepts Real Madrid’s swap deal offer if they receive it.
