Liverpool have reportedly agreed a £79 million deal with Eintracht Frankfurt over the transfer of Hugo Ekitike.
According to Liverpool Echo, the Reds have worked out an agreement that will see them pay the Bundesliga team a guaranteed £69 million, with an additional £10 million in potential add-ons that will depend on the club and the player’s achievements.
With the £79 million package, Liverpool’s summer spending is expected to soar above the £250 million level as Arne Slot attempts to bolster his team in preparation for their Premier League title defence.

The Reds spent a club record £116 million to sign offensive midfielder Florian Wirtz after spending £29 million to acquire right-back Jeremie Frimpong, a teammate from Bayer Leverkusen and a Holland international.
Hungary’s 20-year-old goalkeeper Armin Pecsi cost £1.5 million from Puskas Akademia, while left-back Milos Kerkez cost £40 million from Bournemouth.
Giorgi Mamardashvili, a Georgia international goalkeeper, arrived after Liverpool and Valencia reached a £29 million agreement last year, while another goalkeeper, Freddie Woodman, joined on a free transfer.
