RB Leipzig have reportedly named Xavi Simons in their training camp squad despite speculation around his future.
Chelsea are believed to be interested in the Dutch midfielder, who is in direct negotiations with the Blues on personal terms.
According to The Evening Standard, the player will fly to the Black Forest in Germany with Leipzig.
With the addition of Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Jamie Gittens this summer, Chelsea have already strengthened their attacking options.

Estevao Willian, a teenager from Brazil, will also join the team before the 2025–2026 season begins.
However, despite Noni Madueke’s £52 million move to Arsenal, the Blues are still eager to bolster their striking depth.
Simons, who has the same agency as Madueke, has been targeted by the reigning Club World Cup champions after the 22-year-old finished the previous season with 11 goals and eight assists across all competitions.
After making his breakthrough at Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy and going on to play for Paris Saint-Germain and Leipzig, Simons has long been hailed as one of Europe’s best players.
Simons, a dynamic attacker who can play as a winger or a No. 10, would provide Chelsea’s front line speed and inventiveness while also giving Enzo Maresca’s team more depth ahead of a hectic season.
Chelsea’s 2024–25 season came to a close over a year after it began as they won the Club World Cup earlier this month.
