Lamine Yamal Hits 50 Career Goals Faster Than Messi and Ronaldo

Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal has reached another historic milestone after hitting 50 career goals earlier than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 18-year-old winger continues to shine for Barcelona and Spain, strengthening his reputation as one of world football’s brightest young talents this season.

Yamal scored the winning goal in Barcelona’s 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, curling a brilliant finish into the far corner.

The strike not only secured three points but also took his tally this season to 19 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions.

Teenage Star Surpasses Previous Best Season

The milestone goal also means Yamal has already surpassed his best scoring season at Barcelona.

Last campaign, he scored 18 goals in 55 matches, meaning he has improved his output significantly with fewer games played this year.

His impressive numbers include 19 goals and 15 assists this season, highlighting his influence both as a scorer and creator for the Spanish giants.

Another remarkable achievement is that Yamal has now scored 50 career goals at just 18 years and 237 days old.

By comparison, Lionel Messi reached the milestone at 20 years and 315 days, while Cristiano Ronaldo achieved it at 21 years and 297 days.

Yamal’s rapid rise has placed him among football’s elite young talents, reports Daily Star.

The Barcelona winger could now play a crucial role when the Catalan side face Newcastle United in the Champions League round-of-16.

The teams previously met during the group stage when Barcelona secured a 2-1 win at St James’ Park.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe had expressed disappointment that Yamal missed that match through injury.

This time, however, the Magpies may have to deal with the teenager’s attacking threat firsthand.
