Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has added another milestone to his growing list of achievements, becoming the player with the most Champions League goal contributions before turning 19.
The 17-year-old continues to rewrite history with every appearance.
Yamal provided the assist for Jules Koundé’s winning goal in Barcelona’s 2–1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, marking his 14th goal involvement in Europe’s biggest competition.

That figure moves him past Kylian Mbappé, who previously held the record with 13 contributions as a teenager.
The Barcelona No.10 has now recorded seven goals and seven assists in 28 Champions League matches—remarkable numbers for a player who only debuted in September 2023 at 16 years and 68 days old.
Flick Reacts to Yamal’s Frustration After Substitution
Despite breaking a major record, Yamal wasn’t all smiles on Tuesday night. The winger looked visibly frustrated when he was substituted in the 89th minute, moments after receiving a yellow card.
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick was asked about the incident and responded with humour. “Next time he’ll sit on the bench,” he joked, before clarifying the decision.
Flick explained that the yellow card and the need to manage the final minutes made the change necessary, reports SI
The German coach insisted he had “no problem” with the youngster’s reaction, describing it as the attitude of a player hungry to compete for every minute.
Yamal will miss Barcelona’s next Champions League match due to suspension but will return for the final group fixture.
With his 19th birthday still months away, the teenage sensation now has even more time to extend his new record at the top of European football.
