Kane Tipped To Leave Bayern For Arsenal Next Summer

Former Arsenal star, Paul Merson has reportedly tipped the Gunners to sign Bayern Munich talisman, Harry Kane next summer.

Prior to his high-profile transfer to Bayern Munich in August 2023, Kane played his whole career at bitter rivals Tottenham.

Kane signed a contract with the Bundesliga team that may ultimately be worth £120 million, but it has now come to light that the striker’s contract contains a buy-out clause that he can trigger.

According to reports in Germany, the option could have been activated for £67 million during the most recent winter transfer window, with the price scheduled to drop to £54 million in January of next year.

According to Daily Mail, Merson stated on Sky Sports that he wouldn’t be shocked if Arsenal made a deal because his former club are still in dire need of a top No 9.

“Arsenal will buy him,’ he said. When asked whether he was serious, he added: ‘Why not? £64m, why not? Sol Campbell did [make the move]. People will go “Oh he’s this age and that age” but Arsenal need now.

“If Arsenal haven’t won the League, you’ve got to take a chance. You’ve got to take a chance, buy someone that’s proven.

“I wouldn’t be surprised, and when you’re Harry Kane and you’ve been told you can go for £64m, there’s only a couple of teams who could buy him.

“Maybe Tottenham will buy him back but he’ll have to win something at Bayern Munich to go back to Tottenham. If you’ve not won anything at Bayern Munich, you’re not going back to Tottenham to win nothing.”
