Douglas Luiz has left Juventus to join Nottingham Forest following just one season in Italy.
The Serie A club spent Aston Villa €50 million to sign the Brazilian last summer, but they may transfer him to Forest for only €25 million next summer.
And Juventus has issued a statement regarding the move, outlining the financial terms of the agreement between the two teams.
“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that an agreement has been reached with Nottingham Forest FC for the temporary disposal, until 30 June 2026, of the registration rights of the player Douglas Luiz Soares de Paulo for a consideration of € 3 million.” Reported By Briminghammail News.

“The agreement further requires Nottingham Forest to acquire the player’s registration rights permanently if certain conditions are met during the 2025/2026 football season.
“The agreed fee for the potential definitive disposal is € 25 million, payable over four financial years; this amount may be increased, during the term of the player’s employment contract, by up to € 3.5 million upon the achievement of specific sporting objectives.”
Luiz remarked after signing for Forest: “I am very glad to be here; it is a huge club, and I chose to come here because I sense the club’s desire.
“I am so excited to start with the team and give my best for the shirt and the fans.”
Forest’s chief football officer, Ross Wilson, said: “It’s been a very busy but successful window for us in recent weeks, and Douglas is another addition to the squad who will add substantial quality to the group.
“He has a long history of playing at the greatest level, understands the Premier League’s demands, and has competed in premier European competitions.
