Jurgen Klopp has sparked excitement among Liverpool fans after suggesting a sensational return to Anfield could be “theoretically possible.”
The former Reds boss, who stepped down at the end of the 2023-24 season, made the revelation during an interview on the Diary of a CEO podcast.
Klopp, now serving as Global Head of Soccer for Red Bull’s football franchise, has also joined a German Football League expert panel to help develop young talent, reports Mirror.
The 58-year-old, who guided Liverpool to Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Club World Cup glory, insisted he doesn’t currently miss management.
However, his comments hinted that a comeback might not be entirely off the table. “If I ever coached in England again, it would only be Liverpool,” Klopp said. “Yeah, theoretically it’s possible.”
Klopp Enjoying Life Beyond the Dugout
Despite teasing fans with the idea of a return, Klopp made it clear he enjoys his new off-field role and slower pace of life.

“I love what I do now. I don’t miss coaching players, press conferences or standing in the rain for hours,” he admitted.
“I coached over 1,000 games; I don’t want to die in the dressing room. But I also don’t need to make decisions today. We’ll see what the future brings.”
Since Klopp’s departure, Liverpool have thrived under Arne Slot, winning the Premier League and staying in title contention this season despite recent stumbles.
