On Monday, Barcelona President Joan Laporta removed the team from Erling Haaland, while there has been interest in players who appear to be out of reach, such as Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak.
El Chiringuito claims that Julian Alvarez, the great player that Atletico Madrid signed last summer, is also on their shortlist.
According to them, Barcelona wants to sign Alvarez in 2026 and is certain that he should replace Lewandowski, reports Espana.
They also state that Alvarez’s team has stated that he would consider any respectable offer that came his way and might even present it to Atletico if he were interested.
Enrique Cerezo, the president of Atletico, quickly responded to those rumors, that there was no possibility of it occurring.
“Well, I really like Lamine Yamal. It seems we have the same tastes. Julian Alvarez is an Atletico player. He’s ours and will remain ours.”
