Jackson Makes Bayern Loan Decision Ahead Of January Window

Chelsea forward, Nicolas Jackson is reportedly not planning to end his loan spell with Bayern Munich and seal a permanent move to another club in the January transfer window.

The Senegalese striker is believed to be settled at Bayern, where he is on an initial loan with an option to buy, following a dramatic back-and-forth transfer drama this summer.

Jackson had barely arrived in Munich in late August, ahead of a £13 million loan deal with a buy option, when he was told Chelsea planned to cancel after Joao Pedro became the team’s only available striker due to Liam Delap’s injury.

Jackson’s agent Ali Barat openly criticized the “deeply frustrating” situation and pledged to “fight with everything I have,” while Jackson insisted on reviving the arrangement in whatever form was possible.

In the end, the Blues permitted Jackson to remain in Munich on a £14.3 million season-long loan with a conditional obligation to buy for £56.3 million should he start 40 games. They then went ahead to recall Marc Guiu from his Sunderland loan.

Jackson, who plays as the center forward with England captain Harry Kane playing as a No. 10 behind him, has scored three goals in 12 games for Bayern thus far.

Jackson Not Willing To Leave Bayern In January

According to The Evening Standard, the 24-year-old Senegal international does not intend to pursue a permanent departure from Chelsea during the January transfer window and do not wish to cut short his stay with Bayern.

Speaking at his unveiling in Bavaria in September, Jackson said: “It was tough; a tough time. Difficult moments in those last days.
