Martin Odegaard has stated that his shoulder ailment is ‘under control’ following the Arsenal captain’s recent injury concerns.
Arsenal have won two of their first three Premier League games, but injury concerns are already threatening to derail Mikel Arteta’s plans.
Odegaard was pulled out during Arsenal’s 5-0 victory over Leeds United in August, on the same afternoon that Bukayo Saka suffered another hamstring injury.
While the injury was not as serious as feared, the midfielder was left out of the starting lineup against Liverpool the following week, only appearing for the final 20 minutes on Merseyside.
Odegaard was called up to the Norway squad before the trip to Anfield, where he played the first 45 minutes of the 1-0 win over Finland.

The Gunners captain had a catastrophic ankle injury while serving his country in September of last year, missing three months of activity. Reported By Metro News.
His most recent issue appears to be significantly less severe, as he insists there is no club-versus-country spat building over his fitness ahead of the international break.
‘It hurt a lot, but now I have it under control and feel ready,’ Odegaard added.
‘It was never a problem. I speak a lot with Stale Solbakken (Norway’s manager). The club clearly wanted me for Liverpool, and my only duty was to prepare.’
Norway will face Moldova in World Cup qualification tonight before returning to the Premier League this weekend.
Arsenal are expected to be without Saka following his latest hamstring injury, while Kai Havertz recovers from minor knee surgery.
