Italian footballer Luca Aluisi has tragically passed away at the age of 30 after collapsing at his home in Marta, Lazio, just hours before his first training session with new club ASD Castell’Azzara.
Local reports say the midfielder began suffering convulsions at around 1:30am on Tuesday. Despite the swift arrival of emergency services, attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.

The heartbreaking incident unfolded in front of his mother, who witnessed her son’s final moments. Aluisi was set to begin a new chapter in his career with Tuscan non-league side Castell’Azzara the very next day.
Clubs And Officials Pay Tribute
In a statement, ASD Castell’Azzara said: “The club is deeply shaken by the tragic news. Luca was ready to wear our jersey and begin this new sporting adventure with great enthusiasm.
Every training session, every match, every goal – Luca will always be with us.”
Massimo Natali, president of his boyhood club Marta, also paid tribute, describing him as a “kind and sensitive young man” who had shown passion for football from childhood and was loved within the community.
Local leaders also expressed their condolences.
The Mayor of Viterbo, where Aluisi’s father serves as a police officer, offered “a silent embrace” to the grieving family, while Marta’s Mayor Maurizio Lacchini confirmed the entire town was mourning alongside them.
An autopsy has been requested to determine the exact cause of death.
Aluisi’s sudden passing has left a deep void both in football and in his hometown, where he was remembered not only as a player, but also as a man dedicated to his community, reports Daily Mail.
