‘It Will Be Foolish To Leave PSG For Real Madrid’ – Vitinha

Paris Saint-Germain star, Vitinha stated that it would be ‘foolish’ for him to think of leaving the Ligue 1 giants despite rumoured interest from Real Madrid.

The elite midfield player, whose contract with PSG expires in June 2029, is reportedly one of Madrid’s top targets for the summer transfer window.

Vitinha Ruled Out Leaving PSG

Asked about a potential transfer to Real Madrid, Vitinha, 26, told Canal 11 as quoted by ESPN: “It would be foolish to leave! I don’t think it would be the best thing for me at the moment. I feel very good here at PSG. Love being here at PSG, and so does my family.

“We have a fantastic group and an incredible coach. I feel that people appreciate me a lot and I feel that I have earned that affection.”

Since moving to the French capital from FC Porto in 2022, Vitinha has won 11 trophies, including a Ligue 1, the Champions League, and the Coupe de France last season.

The Portugal international finished third in the Ballon d’Or vote, behind PSG teammate Ousmane Dembele and Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, to top off an incredible 2025.

Vitinha would not be persuaded to leave Les Parisiens by a tempting offer from Saudi Arabia.

“Let’s not be naive,” he said when asked about a future in the Saudi Pro League.

“I’m more committed to having a stable career. I already earn very well here in Europe, at a big club. Doubling or tripling that salary wouldn’t make me any happier.”

Vitinha has six goals and eight assists in 34 games for PSG.

PSG are currently leading Ligue 1 and on March 11, the club, led by Luis Enrique, will host Chelsea in the Champions League round of 16.
